I freeze like this also to use for coney's or cook beans up separately and add beans over spaghetti then chili top that with onion and cheese for a 5 way or add crackers for a 6 way lol ...
1 pound lean ground beef (hamburger)
1 clove garlic, minced ( or powder)
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon chili powder ( I do more)
1 teaspoon ground allspice ( I like a little clove also but beware a little goes a long way)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon red (cayenne) pepper ( I do more)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce ( or I'll do just diced tomatoes and cook down)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cider or regular vinegar
Bay leaf or 2
1/2 cup water or broth or none if it's your thickness...I used fresh Tabasco peppers in this one because I had some dried bring to boil and simmer. I like to brown my GB with some extra chili powders or you can just cook down together . If you feel it needs thickened after cooked/simmered stir in a little tomato paste or 1 Tablespoon or more of cornstarch and cold water and bring to boil again for couple minutes.
