Jen Isaacs's Southern Chow Relish


2cups green onion chopped chopped fine,
1 large head of cabbage shredded fine,
5 green tomatoes chopped Fine ,
3 green peppers chopped Fine,
3 cups of onion chopped Fine,
1 red pepper and one orange pepper chopped fine,
3 tsp of mustard seed,
if you like hot 1 tsp cayenne pepper ,
2cups sugar,
1 tbls pepper,
4 tbls salt.
3 cups of white vinegar,
Mix all veggies in a bowl, then put your vinegar, sugar and spices in a large stockpot.
Bring to roaring boil and all the veggies and simmer about 15 mins.
Take 5 pint size mason jars and ladle veggies and liquid into each jar.
Put caps on your relish and pressure cook for 12 mins.
Makes an amazing relish and stores great.
