Ingredients
3 ½ lbs ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
¼ cup ketchup
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
Aluminum Foil (optional)
Directions
Dump all ingredients except tomato sauce into large bowl. Mix ingredients
thoroughly. {Optional – I couldn't find my rack that goes inside my crock. So I
wadded up aluminum foil into balls and placed them into my crock. I then
pressed them down so they were flattened into disc shapes so the meatloaf
would sit better. I also made an aluminum strip to place under my meatloaf to
make getting it out of the crock easier. Just pull a piece of aluminum long
enough to fit down both sides and across the widest length of your crockpot.
Then fold it up so that it is around 1 – 2 inches wide. I placed the strip in the
crock on top of the foil balls.} Form meat mixture into a loaf. Place loaf into
crock pot. Pour tomato sauce over the top of the meat loaf. Cover and cook on
Low for 6 hours
