Cat In Pumpkin Cake

Pound cake recipe (see below)
Bundt pan
Buttercream recipe (see below)
Rice Krispy Treat recipe (see below)
Rolling pin
Gel colors in black, orange, red, green, brown, yellow, pink
Leaf cookie cutter
Fondant (can be store bought)
Small paint brushes
Vodka
Thin rice noodles

In advance, roll out some fondant and cut out some leaves, using vodka and gel colors, paint the leaves in various fall colors, crinkle up some tin foil and place leaves over it to dry so they won't be flat. Take some more fondant and kneed in a bit of brown until it is just incorporated, cut out a square to make a plaque, let dry. Using the vodka again, add in a drop of brown and paint over the plaque to give it the "wood effect", let dry completely.
Bake pound cake in bundt pan (you will need 2 bundt cakes) and let cool. Fill with your favorite filling and stick them together to make look like a pumpkin. Ice over it with buttercream icing. Roll out orange tinted fondant and smooth over cake, gently using your fingers, get into the grooves of the bundt cake to give dimension to cake.
Make rice krispy treats, and mold a head, nose, ears and arms, let dry out some on wax paper. Once dry a bit, use some icing to stick together on the cake.
Using a star tip and piping bag, pipe black tinted chocolate icing over the entire cake. Add the little details, such as the eyes, inside of ears, and nose. Using the rice noodles, add the whiskers.
"Glue" the leaves and plaque to the pumpkin by dabbing a bit of water on the fondant and sticking it on the cake, you may have to hold it there for a minute or so.
